Classes Offered Through
Reiki North Idaho
The following classes are offered at Reiki North Idaho. Please contact me to
discuss tuition fees and registering for a class as I am in the process of scheduling
classes. Please note that the class descriptions are brief in
nature and do not necessarily reflect the complete class content. Those
people who wish to have one-to-one Reiki classes rather than to participate
in larger classes are also encouraged to email or call me to discuss scheduling.
Reiki classes with a minimum of four students in North Idaho and Spokane
will be offered at reduced rates beginning November of 2009. This is an
effort to make Reiki more available and affordable. Tuition will be as
follows:
Usui Reiki I---$50
Usui Reiki II---$75
Usui Reiki III---$125
Japanese Reiki Workshop---$50
Classes held in other areas will have somewhat higher fees that will depend
upon the number of students and distance I am asked to travel.
Usui Reiki
Class Level I (Shoden)
Reiki I, in
which sensing and working with Ki for working with oneself or to work with
friends and family is taught. Students learn what Reiki is, how it works and
its history. They also learn Reiki
principles,
ethics, standard Reiki hand positions, and several Japanese techniques for
use with self, friends and family.
Students receive hands on Reiki practice and Reiki I attunements as well as
outlined notes of the class. This class is generally taught over the course
of a full day for smaller classes and 1 & 1/2 days for larger classes. This provides practice time
and accommodates the addition of several Japanese techniques that were not
included in past Western style Reiki I classes. Reiki
North Idaho provides mentoring and consultation to students after training
to the degree needed by each student. Please note that people who host
classes at their location may be able to receive fee waivers for Reiki I or
reduced tuition for Level II or Master classes.
Usui Reiki
Class Level II (Okuden)
Reiki II also known as Okuden or Inner Teaching, broadens one’s knowledge of
Reiki. Many people
advance to this level simply due to a wish to broaden their knowledge and
practice. Others do so in order to incorporate Reiki into other healing
modalities with which they work professionally, or to work professionally as
Reiki Practitioners. Students receive their level II attunements, written
materials, practice working with Reiki symbols in several ways, learn
several additional Japanese Reiki techniques, intuitive treatment elements,
and other techniques. We also discuss
the elements of beginning a professional Reiki practice if that is the
students’ goal. This class is
taught over the course of full day for smaller classes and over 1 & 1/2 days
for larger classes in order
to provide an appropriate level of practice time for students with the
additional Japanese techniques that have been added to the class syllabus.
Students are highly encouraged to continue their use of Reiki with clients if
professionals, and with family, friends and fellow students before progressing to Master/Teacher study.
Combined
Usui Class Reiki I & II
See Reiki I
& II Descriptions Above
The combined class
was developed for students with busy schedules or whom are traveling some
distance. It takes place over the course of a weekend and includes all
aspects of Level I and II Reiki.
Students are highly encouraged to continue their use of Reiki with clients if
professionals, and with family, friends, fellow students, and/or with me before progressing to Master/Teacher study.
Japanese Reiki Class—Class Tuition
There has been a great deal of new information that has been discovered in
the past few years regarding how Reiki was practiced by Mikao Usui and his
students that was not initially included in Western Reiki classes. This
one-day class includes 9 techniques and is geared to Level II practitioners
who received their training prior to those specific Japanese techniques
being incorporated into Western Level I & II or Master/Teacher training.
It can also be helpful
those who wish a refresher class. (Pre-requisite: Level II Reiki).
Reiki Master/Teacher Training
(Shinpiden)
Reiki III
is also known as the Reiki Master level or Shinpiden. People who study to this level have
made a commitment to an even deeper understanding of Reiki and to pass on
the knowledge of Reiki to others. Students are taught how to give
attunements as well as other advanced techniques and attention is also paid
to teaching skills. Students are also encouraged to co-teach Reiki classes
with me.

Individuals
for whom the tuition rates of Level I & II may present a financial
concern are asked
to talk with me to determine if hosting a class at their locations or
providing assistance with registration and set-up, etc. might be an option for them in
order to help Reiki training to be more accessible to them.
*Reiki I,
and II may also be scheduled in the local area over the course of
three to four weekday evenings if desired, so that students continue to have weekends
available for recreation with family and friends. Japanese Reiki can be
scheduled over the course of three evenings. Please call or email to
inquire.
